Competency Framework for Interactive Digital Design Postgraduate Programmes

This study contributes to the development of an Interactive Digital Design Competency Framework through a dynamic and responsive process. The aim is to ensure that the resulting framework remains relevant, effective, and innovative across diverse and broader contexts, supporting both its practical applicability and its continuous evolution and adaptation in response to the changing demands of the present and future digital design landscape. The findings identify and define 37 core skills, organized into five dimensions: 1) Operative; 2) Technical and Methodological; 3) Critical and Creative Thinking; 4) Leadership; 5) Management, highlighting their relevance and applicability throughout the career progression of design professionals. By anticipating the required competences/skills and their respective dimensions, this research offers a more structures perspective on the development Executive Education (EE) programs in the field of Interactive Digital Design.
