Because of the demands to become independent and create a distinct identity, adolescence, a crucial developmental stage marked by the passage from infancy to adulthood, often results in emotional instability. According to research, treating child depression quickly may have considerable long-term advantages and lead to better overall results for the children’s mental health. Adolescents have a better chance of enjoying favourable long-term outcomes and a higher quality of life if they can identify and treat depressive symptoms early. This research study’s primary goal was to evaluate and analyse the many variables that affect college students in India who experience depression. Using a cross-sectional study approach, the essential data was gathered. An online survey on Google was used to gather the data, and a total of 405 people responded to it. It is essential for educational institutions to provide instruction on this mental health issue to college students to increase their ability to recognise and comprehend depression. Colleges may provide students with the skills they need to accurately recognise and diagnose depression’s symptoms by providing them with thorough information and understanding about the condition.
