Porous PDMS Based Triboelectric Nanogenerator as a New Energy Technology and Animal Sound Detection
摘要
This paper represents the fabrication and basic characteristics of a novel flexible Triboelectric Nanogenerator (TENG) for converting mechanical energy to electrical energy. This could be used as a power source for future low-power-consumption devices. Herein a TENG was fabricated with porous high roughness PDMS as negative layer and aluminum film as positive triboelectric material. The proposed TENG device is operating in single-electrode contact and separation method for applications in lower-range-frequency for harvesting energy from intermittent tapping loads involving the human body. The TENG exhibits better performance due to porous characteristics of the triboelectric layer used for construction. This fabricated TENG generates a maximum voltage output of 110 V under different human activities for the device with 2 cm × 2 cm area. The application prospects of this TENG as a power generator is also evaluated from different animal sounds where voltage was generated and sound analysis was done by fixing device on the speaker.
