The Conquest of the Tahuantinsuyu in the Light of Its Own Time Recording System
摘要
In the previous chapters, we outlined the main constituents of the time-reckoning system that governed the imperial apparatus’ ceremonial-religious, economic, and military activities. This system found its most complete manifestation in the metropolitan region, i.e., the capital, Cuzco, and the surrounding area. This system had its “delegations” in provincial administrative-religious centers, such as Huanuco Pampa. However, as has been stressed in different parts of this work, it is not enough to present a theoretical model—even if based on accurate data. Still, it is also necessary to at least try to demonstrate that it functioned in reality.
