Cognitive assistants, as described in AI-Assisted MBSE, are embodied AI agents that augment the performance of systems engineers by automating or enhancing various tasks throughout the system development lifecycle. These AI-driven personas support requirements discovery, use case generation, wireframe creation, user interface design and coding, database design and coding, embedded code generation, automated testing, as well as logical architecture, physical architecture, state modeling, and parametric simulation. Cognitive assistants are an example of Augmented Intelligence as defined by Madni.
