Embodied Data: Exploring the Impact of Biometric Visualization Techniques on Global Health Equity
摘要
Biometric visualization techniques transform healthcare by providing insights into real-time physiological and behavioral data. This chapter examines the impact of these technologies on global health equity, highlighting both their potential benefits and the disparities they may unintentionally reinforce. It explores their role in reducing health inequities by analyzing key biometric visualization methods, such as biometric mapping, wearable health monitoring, and interactive data dashboards. Case studies from various global settings illustrate the benefits and challenges associated with these technologies. Ethical considerations, particularly those related to data privacy, accessibility, and cultural sensitivity, are critically examined. Finally, recommendations are provided to ensure the equitable deployment of biometric visualization techniques in healthcare.
