Integration of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations into Microgrid with Solar Generation
摘要
This chapter investigates the increasing adoption of EVs in Ukraine, stressing the importance of developing a robust national network of charging stations to support EV market growth. The research explores the challenges and requirements for implementing high-quality and efficient EV charging infrastructure, emphasizing the integration of decentralized microgrids and renewable energy sources, such as solar power, to enhance energy supply stability and sustainability. Various companies and their contributions toward providing charging solutions are discussed, including the deployment of high-speed charging stations and strategies to accommodate urban and residential areas. Key considerations for EV charging stations encompass compatibility, safety, energy efficiency, user accessibility, and remote monitoring. The study also examines the implications of EV charging on power systems, advocating for advanced control techniques and dynamic optimization to manage load forecasting and distribution effectively. Different architectures of charging stations within microgrids are analyzed, highlighting benefits and control mechanisms in both DC and AC systems, as well as hybrid AC/DC microgrid structures. By integrating intelligent algorithms and renewable energy sources, the research aims to optimize energy flow and operational flexibility, presenting a sustainable path for electrifying Ukraine's transportation sector.
