Health as a Value in University Students
摘要
Values shape everyday decisions, with health being a fundamental one (Losonczi. Ártó-védő társadalom. Közgazdasági Jogi Kiadó, Budapest, 1989). The study seeks to elucidate the role of values in promoting health and to underscore the importance of health education within educational institutions. The results of the Wilcoxon signed rank test show that the importance of the value system is significantly more frequent (T = 54851 Z = –12.310 p < .000 (1-tailed) r = .631) (Mdn = 108) than the implementation of values (Mdn = 99), the respondents care about the values but do not act on them. Education aimed at fostering healthier lifestyles should be prioritized and promoted in all age groups, taking into account individual needs and circumstances.
