The Possibilities of Digitalizing the Evaluation of Green Economy Efficiency
摘要
The effective management of limited natural resources has become one of the most pressing issues in the context of meeting the growing needs of society. As a result, numerous international organizations and countries are developing economic models to address environmental challenges while ensuring economic development. This comprehensive approach is conceptually framed within the notion of a green economy. At its core, the green economy rests on three fundamental and interdependent subsystems: economic efficiency, social equity, and environmental security. The absence of any one of these elements risks undermining the integrity of the system, whereas their integrated governance can be understood through the lens of holistic or complex efficiency. The green economy often places an added cost burden on organizations, which may, over time, be offset by gains in alternative efficiencies. As a result, evaluating the effectiveness of interventions across all levels of this three-tiered system (and understanding their combined impact) becomes increasingly complex. However, advanced digital technologies offer the potential to integrate environmental costs into specific organizational expense categories. By analyzing how each component’s efficiency correlates within the broader green economy framework, these costs can be redistributed more effectively among organizations, governments, and international institutions.
