This paper seeks to explore how the factors of organizational influence, project management methodology, customer characteristics, and team challenges aid in the success and effectiveness of Agile Project Management (APM) implementation in an Indonesian bank and how they have thus far implemented APM further aid in their endeavors as a form of process innovation. It was found that, among the four themes, while project management methodology is highly relevant to the successful implementation of APM, the significant overarching factor that determined the successful implementation and integration of APM within the company lies with organizational influence in aspects such as organizational culture, with the factor of team challenges being similarly affected, customer characteristics proved to be circumstantial in relation to factors influencing the successful implementation of APM in the company. This paper contributes to the understanding of APM implementation in the Indonesian banking industry by showcasing a case study of how one bank has successfully implemented APM through qualitative results yielded from semi-structured and purposive interviews, yielding results that would be beneficial to understand how an Indonesian bank may work towards efficient and continuous product innovation.
