Integrating Lean Supply Chain Management with Supply Chain 4.0 Technologies & Internal Lean Practices for Sustainable Competitive Advantage
摘要
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of integrating Lean Supply Chain Management (LSCM) with Supply Chain 4.0 technologies and internal lean management in the industrial sector, focusing on sustainability and competitive advantage. Using a quantitative research approach, standardized questionnaires were administered to the initial pilot study of 115 respondents in West Java, Indonesia, to collect data. The study utilized the Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares method to examine the data, specifically investigating the connections between internal lean management, LSCM deployment, and integrating Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, cloud, and big data. The results suggest that using internal lean techniques and adopting Industry 4.0 technology improve the implementation of LSCM. However, the positive effect of LSCM on enhancing operational performance was not confirmed, as indicated by P-values greater than 0.05. This result highlights the complexity of combining lean methods with advanced technologies and indicates that simply implementing LSCM does not ensure improved operational results. Nevertheless, this study enhances our understanding of the impact of integrating technological and lean management on operational metrics and identifies potential areas for further research to optimize the performance and sustainability of supply chain management and gain a competitive advantage.
