Analysis of the Influence of Quality Control Circle (QCC) and 5S Program on Engineering Employee Performance
摘要
Employee performance is the factor that can influence a company's achievements. PT XYZ is a manufacturing company in Indonesia that implements the Quality Control Circle (QCC) and Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke (5S) programs to improve employee performance. The QCC and 5S programs are implemented in all departments at PT XYZ, one of which is at the engineering department Plant KK. This research aimed to analyze the influence of the QCC and 5S programs on engineering employee performance. The method used was multiple linear regression analysis, with a T-test for significant and partial influence analysis and an F-test for simultaneous influence analysis. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with a sample of 77 respondents. The research results showed that the value of R square was 63.6%. Then, the calculated T value for the QCC and 5S variables was greater than the T table for significant and partial hypothesis test results. Likewise, with the results of simultaneous hypothesis testing, the calculated F value for the QCC and 5S variables is greater than the F table. So, it is concluded that the QCC and 5S programs significantly, partially, and simultaneously influence engineering employee performance. Engineering employee performance indicators consisting of quality, quantity, discipline, cooperation, and innovation can be seen in the results of the machine MTTR value, where the implementation of QCC and 5R has succeeded in reducing the machine MTTR value at Plant KK in PT XYZ.
