The commonly used methods for applying corrosion-resistant coatings to machine housing components in the mechanical engineering industry are examined, taking into account their operational and technical characteristics. A formalized methodology based on a multi-criteria approach for selecting the most effective coating method has been developed. It has been established that polymer powder coating offers the best combination of corrosion resistance, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and environmental safety.
