Combination of Dynamic Rods and Screws
摘要
Dynamic pedicular systems, unlike rigid pedicular stabilization systems, share the load with the vertebral corpus. In addition to the flexibility of the rod, the use of a screw with a hinge on the screw neck (dynamic screw) reduces the load transferred to the vertebral body, and most of the load is transmitted down the posterior column. In biomechanical studies designed in this way, while the motion segment moves within more physiological limits, it also restores the enlarged neutral zone. In contrast, since less load passes over the screw body to the vertebral body, the possibility of screw loosening decreases.
