Artificial Intelligence in Dermatology
摘要
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into dermatology represents a transformative shift in modern medicine. The past decade has witnessed significant advancements in AI algorithms designed for dermatological applications, particularly in image-based diagnosis and automated disease classification. This chapter presents the MoleMe case study. MoleMe, launched in 2019 by a team of dermatologists and AI researchers in Taiwan, is an AI-powered skin monitoring application designed to analyze moles and lesions for early signs of malignancy that has been used by more than 200,000 users. To fully realize its promise, future efforts must prioritize algorithmic accuracy, dataset inclusivity, and seamless integration into clinical workflows.
