Empirical Research on Carbon Inclusive Optimization of Sustainable Fashion Consumption in Shanghai
摘要
The fashion industry is pivotal for Shanghai's green transition but faces an “awareness-behavior gap” in sustainable consumption. This study analyzes 478 stratified questionnaires from Shanghai commercial districts using SPSS 28 and structural equation modeling (SEM). Results confirm a significant positive correlation (p < 0.01) between consumer environmental awareness and sustainable behavior, yet reveal a persistent gap. The Carbon Inclusive Mechanism (CIM) acts as a critical moderator: government carbon labeling increases purchase probability by 35% (2.8 × more effective than enterprise self-labeling), and commercial hubs absorbing CIM quotas accelerate low-carbon apparel adoption. We propose a “Fashion Carbon Inclusive Methodology” and “Low-Carbon IP Cultivation” framework, providing policy and strategic insights for Shanghai’s goal to lead global fashion carbon neutrality.
