This chapter looks at the problem of designing generalized functional observers for a class of systems with mixed non-commensurate time delays in both state and output vectors. We propose a general observer structure and derive their existence conditions. However, we stop short of finding numerical examples to illustrate the design procedure. Thus, the problem of designing generalized functional observers to estimate a generalized functional that contains mixed non-commensurate time delays remains an open research problem for future research.
