The recent development of holographic tomography in flow cytometry enables to bridge the gap with fluorescence microscopy by adding computational intracellular specificity to single-cells in 3D and stain-free mode. In this paper we report the main advances in this topic, focusing on our recent results and providing perspective studies in real biomedical fields.
