Balint Group
摘要
In a Balint group, 8–12 doctors meet with a trained Balint group leader. One doctor presents a case and the difficulties with this particular patient. The group reflects on the doctor–patient relationship, with the goal that the presenting doctor obtains a new understanding of their relationship with the patient. The benefits of Balint groups for the participating doctors are better listening skills, increased patience, more sensitivity for emotional and social problems, better understanding of unconscious processes, emotional relief, and burnout prevention.
