The formation of psychosomatic medicine as an interdisciplinary field in Ukraine was influenced by several traditions: Soviet psychophysiology, clinical psychiatry, general therapy, and later—modern Western concepts of the biopsychosocial model. Although the term “psychosomatics” was long considered more metaphorical than clinically relevant in domestic medicine, interest in it has been growing as awareness of the role of psychological factors in the occurrence and course of somatic diseases has increased.

摘要

The formation of psychosomatic medicine as an interdisciplinary field in Ukraine was influenced by several traditions: Soviet psychophysiology, clinical psychiatry, general therapy, and later—modern Western concepts of the biopsychosocial model.
