Psychosomatic medicine in Iran is a developing field of research, practice, and discourse. Many postgraduate courses have been held in universities and other organizations. While psychosomatics has a long history in Iranian traditional medicine, there is a big historical and methodological gap between this classical framework and modern medicine, although some concepts and methods are shared. Two main discourses currently active in this field in Iran are the biobehavioral approach and the systemic approach. In recent years, a few trends for integrating these two approaches have emerged.

Psychosomatic medicine in Iran is a developing field of research, practice, and discourse. Many postgraduate courses have been held in universities and other organizations.
