The preceding chapters have looked at antigravity from the two most obvious perspectives, science fiction and mainstream scientific research. But there is a third perspective—a kind of “outsider” take on the subject that is presented as factual yet having little or no objective supporting evidence of the kind normally associated with scientific subjects. This “fringe” approach to antigravity—which, interestingly, generates at least as many internet search results as the other two—is the focus of this chapter. We look at conspiracy theories relating to allegedly suppressed technological developments and top secret “black projects”, pseudo-antigravity arising from well-established conventional physics such as gyroscopes and electrostatic effects, legends that ascribe super-technology to ancient Egypt, India, Atlantis and Lemuria—and, finally, the weird world of UFO “whistleblower” revelations, featuring extraterrestrial antigravity technology and more.

摘要
