Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is the most common cause of vertigo characterized by episodes of vertigo with certain head positions. It is caused by dislodgement of crystals in the balance portion of the inner ear and is easily treatable with bedside procedures. BPPV can affect any portion of the vestibular system and in this chapter we will walk through the workup and treatment of BPPV.
