This final chapter is focused on lessons learned from our unique collaboration and the way forward, with a strong endorsement of this eclectic approach that rendered a complex insight into the understanding on the gaps in effective policing of the countries in and post conflict. When 3 groups of researchers, representing a blend on practitioners from law enforcement, military and the academe come together to conduct research on a project, challenges will emerge and will need to be addressed. Since the initial stages of this collaboration these challenges presented many hurdles that were, eventually, addressed and, sometimes, compromised on. Nevertheless, the final outcome represents a valuable contribution to our knowledge and a solid blueprint for future, similar, collaborations.
