Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an indispensable component of contemporary human life, integrated into numerous daily utilized applications. This research proposes an innovative methodology in the enforcement of competition law and policy, underscoring the pivotal role of AI in addressing field-related challenges. The goal of this paper is to present a Decision Support Tool in Competition Law and policy (Comp-DST) based on the application of a hybrid reasoner combining rule-based reasoning (RBR) and case-based reasoning (CBR). Through a comprehensive, multi-layered approach the proposed Comp-DST systematically structures and leverages competition-specific knowledge. Hence, the Tool is designed to facilitate competition experts in case analysis and investigation, strengthen their capacity building and enhance their reliability and effectiveness.
