Stakeholder Communication Strategy by Magelang Regency Election Supervisory Agency in Building Awareness of Electoral Law Enforcement for the 2024 Election in Indonesia
摘要
A lack of legal awareness in society often causes violations in the electoral process. Especially in Indonesia, where until now there are still many violations such as money politics, black campaigns, and other violations. This phenomenon makes the role of Bawaslu, which is an election supervisory body in Indonesia, very important. Behind it all, there is good news coming from one of the districts in Indonesia, Magelang. This district succeeded in building awareness of election law through collaboration between stakeholders, as evidenced by winning an award for innovation in preventing election violations. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to find out how the strategy of the Bawaslu Magelang Regency communicates with its stakeholders. Researchers will use a qualitative case study method by conducting in-depth interviews with leaders and public relations staff of Bawaslu Magelang Regency. At the end of this study, researchers found that Bawaslu initially mapped their stakeholders in four key categories according to stakeholder theory: key players, subject stakeholders, context setters, and crowd stakeholders. By doing this classification, they design assertive and responsive communication strategies that suit the needs of their respective groups. The researcher concluded that the communication strategy developed according to the specific needs of stakeholders by Bawaslu Magelang was successful in building public legal awareness. This research is a practical example of how stakeholder theory is implemented to strengthen election integration at the local level.
