The editors of this volume, Bento Selau and Pablo Fossa, have called their volume: Heinz Werner: A Forgotten Pioneer in Developmental Sciences. In this epilogue I therefore propose to reassess the role of Werner within developmental sciences, and open directions in which his work could enrich the future of developmental psychology.
