Stakeholder Analysis in the Sustainability Transformation of Higher Education Institutions
摘要
Involving all stakeholders is essential for the sustainability transformation of higher education institutions (HEIs), but the success of this process hinges on accurate stakeholder analysis, identifying, evaluating, categorizing, and prioritizing relevant stakeholders and their respective needs. This chapter examines methods for stakeholder analysis and presents quality management (QM) tools to assess stakeholder priorities in HEIs’ sustainability efforts. The evaluation places emphasis on stakeholders’ expectations, with particular attention to future-oriented requirements. Stakeholder typologies and the interest–impact matrix are discussed as tools to help HEIs prioritize stakeholders and facilitate responsible transformation. To assess stakeholder expectations, the chapter suggests the use of satisfaction surveys on current sustainability initiatives, direct inquiries into the perceived importance of various attributes, and service quality measurement instruments. Additionally, qualitative methods like fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) may be employed to clarify stakeholder expectations and provide deeper insights. The chapter also examines the strengths and limitations of these tools.
