Improbable Glyptodonts
摘要
The favorable conditions for glyptodonts fossilization, diversity and abundance have contributed to the preservation of extraordinary specimens, including some very young, individuals with pathologies, and those with evidence of scavenging. Whole or almost whole articulated skeletons have also been found, sometimes in the same position in which the animals died. Other examples of “improbable” glyptodont fossils include ear bones, laryngeal and tongue bones, and footprints.
