Nanocomposites for Defense, Aeronautical, and Aerospace Applications: Challenges
摘要
Challenges in using nanocomposites for defense and space include cost of production, scaling up manufacturing processes, ensuring material stability and quality control, managing health and environmental risks, and the need for advanced characterization techniques to understand their complex properties. Despite their potential for being lightweight, improved strength, improved thermal properties, and advanced functionalities such as stealth and sensor integration, integrating these advanced materials into existing systems also poses obstacles.
