Chemotherapy scheduling can be broadly divided into two phases: chemotherapy treatment planning and chemotherapy appointment scheduling (CAS). This chapter reviews both phases by outlining the typical scheduling decisions, commonly used performance measures, key influencing factors, sources of uncertainty, and relevant resources, as well as the modeling and solution approaches adopted in the literature. Particular emphasis is placed on CAS, which is the primary focus of this book.
