The study seeks to investigate what influences the practical application of generative AI technology as part of The study presents a model of using Artificial Intelligence according to the dimensions of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) encompasses factors like perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, user attitudes, and actual utilization. The proposed model was tested through quantitative approach and analysis of the data was performed via the program of AMOS software and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. The study population included the Iraqi university faculty members. The study involved 315 faculty members selected randomly among the university of Mosul through a questionnaire that was sent electronically. The analysis of data revealed that attitudes towards use of generative AI, which compose the sample population, are shaped by factors such as ease of use and perceived value, because these two factors determine actual use of generative AI. The present study will benefit the promotion of academic spheres in Iraq and the Arab region to adopt generative AI methods and technologies in academia.
