The present project arises from the need to leverage emerging technologies to improve the academic performance of students in Algebra, a fundamental area within technical education. This research was conducted at a Technological Institute in Quito with 24 first-year students from the Gastronomy and Software Development programs, enrolled in Basic Mathematics, during the April-August 2025 semester. The primary objective was to explore how a gamified digital ecosystem, integrated into an interactive metaverse, could optimize the learning of Algebra. In order to address this issue, an innovative educational platform was designed, based on a gamified metaverse environment, which not only facilitated the teaching of Algebra but also offered a flexible tool for teachers. The research adopted a mixed, quasi-experimental, and longitudinal methodological approach, using various data collection techniques such as surveys, pre- and post-intervention evaluations, as well as interviews with experts in educational technology, pedagogy, and mathematics. Gamification, which integrates game mechanics into educational contexts, fosters increased motivation and enhanced academic performance. The consulted professionals emphasized the technological innovation and flexibility of the project, highlighting its potential to transform traditional teaching. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that gamification, combined with immersive metaverse environments, constitutes a disruptive tool for education, capable of revolutionizing the learning of complex areas such as Algebra.

摘要
