Robotic Seed Drill: A Smart Solution to Precision Farming

In this paper, a robotic seed drill is discussed which is a machine that uses robotics to plant seeds more efficiently and accurately than traditional methods, such as hand planting. Further, the concept of including intelligence in the robotic seed drill is considered by making the machine to learn and predict the type of crop to be sown, to optimise the distance between seeds and depth of sowing using Machine learning algorithms. Different machine learning algorithms viz. ANN, SVM, LR and Random forest are considered to find the accuracy and precision. The Random Forest algorithm shows the maximum accuracy.
