Building a Strategically Proactive U.S. Space Force: The Key for a Free and Open Cis-Lunar Region
摘要
As each new domain has opened its doors for exploration and economic development, the United States has typically been passive about pursuing strategic leadership in those areas. Whether airAir, land, or sea, it has not been in the American character to rush into new regions in an imperialistic fashion. Only after US property or strategic interests are threatened, or another nation threatens the status quo, and then after much prodding by visionaries, will America try to play catch up. In fact, there have been several examples when the US has proclaimed policies and securitySecurity doctrines that for decades it was not willing or able to enforce and embrace. Only through resolute decision-making and a will for great powerPower leadership was the United States able to correct these threats to its strategic interests and securitySecurity.
