Comparative Analysis of ChatGPT Memory and an External Conversational Memory Architecture
摘要
OntboAPI introduces an external memory system designed to store user-specific profiles and conversational histories beyond the ephemeral context window of large language models (LLMs). This service supports real-time access and modification of persistent user data. In this paper, we outline an experimental setup that compares OntboAPI to ChatGPT’s built-in memory across two key metrics: accuracy of factual recall and the quality of hyper-personalized responses. We detail the use of a synthetic benchmark and a blind human evaluation process. Results indicate that an external module affords measurable advantages over native memory when sustained personalization is required.
