Deer
摘要
Deer, of the Family Cervidae, are fascinating animals that have captured the imagination of people since the dawn of time. Found on almost every continent on Earth, they are unique among mammals in that, with one exception (the Chinese water deer), they possess annually regenerating tissue in the form of antlers. Despite their popularity in mythology and modern culture, deer are relatively underutilised as a species, having only recently been subject to any real form of domestication. As a result, there has been little work conducted on their experience of pain and suffering, the majority of which has been performed in relation to the practice of velvet removal.
