Tourist’s perception and satisfaction play a vital role in the success of sustainable tourism and sustainable development. The sustainable tourismSustainable tourism shares a significant economic contribution in states economy incorporating environmental, social and economic aspect. The chapter tried to explore the tourist’s perception and satisfaction on tourism sustainabilitySustainability of Kalimpong district of West Bengal. Total of 320 tourists were considered as a sample collected from four key attractions of Kalimpong district. In this study, descriptive statistics, Garrett’s ranking technique, and Likert scaleLikert scale (5 points) were applied. The natural beauty, suitable climatic conditions and unique flora and fauna were leading factors for attracting tourists on tourism sustainabilitySustainability of a new district, Kalimpong. Most of the tourists belong to age cohort of 15–29 years (36.88%). Most of the tourists (85.63%) were domestic in nature. The natural beauty and suitable climatic conditions are the most favourable factors for selecting tourist’s destination in Kalimpong. The tourists’ satisfaction on tourism sustainabilitySustainability was measured considering nine dimensions. Tourists were completely satisfied on the involvement of local people (4.55), social promotion of tourism exposure (4.22), safety on entire tourism (4.35) and tourism product (4.30). Along with government initiatives, useful strategies for tourist’s attractions and development of new tourist sport, rural tourism should be implemented for tourism sustainabilitySustainability and particularly needs to implement government policy for future tourism development, strategies for regional sustainable tourismSustainable tourism and the proper tourism management practices.
