Summary and Conclusions
摘要
This final chapter of the book provides a summary of the previous discussions and a statement of conclusions that can be reasonably drawn from them. It points to certain cross-cutting themes that have emerged among the previous chapters. It identifies the type and extent of both internal and external influences that seem to be operative in the cases detailed. It also endeavors to outline the degree of commonality and diversity that can be found in contemporary Nordic public policies. Likewise, it seeks to draw comparisons with similar efforts on the part of other communities in the broader international setting and to suggest why the Nordic experience may be one that the rest of the global community may want to give closer examination and consideration to in the future.
