In this chapter, we describe how the fractional diffusion equation can take in consideration a reflecting boundary. The discussion on reflecting boundaries has been more controversial than the study on absorbing boundaries. There are several ways to define reflecting boundaries and they lead to substantially different solutions. Due to the non-locality of these problems, the inclusion of a boundary condition results in modifying the large-scale model.
