Resilience-enhancing approach (REA) refers to a variety of therapeutic modalities that enhance resilience; hence, it is also known as the biopsychosociospiritual approach. This approach includes biological therapy (psychopharmacotherapy and biofeedback), stress management, cognitive behavioral therapy, and spiritual approaches. As general strategies for enhancing resilience, it is crucial to recognize the constitution of and changes in one’s body; to look at the whole rather than the parts; to recognize that working means being healthy, while growth means happiness; to empty the brain and the mind and fill them up; and to manage stress using STRESS. Positive thinking, the repetition of words or behaviors, a sense of minor inadequacies, self-control, and a nature-friendly attitude can help enhance resilience.
