Functional Dyspepsia
摘要
Explanations for symptoms, reassurance, modification of lifestyles, and cognitive behavioral therapy may help treat patients with functional dyspepsia (FD). A combination of psychotherapy and muscle relaxation helps reduce the onset of pain and relieve FD symptoms. In FD patients with mild symptoms, reassurance and lifestyle adjustments are often sufficient. For those with more severe or persistent symptoms, the use of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), prokinetics, and psychotropic agents is recommended. Tricyclic antidepressants can be used for refractory symptoms of FD, especially in epigastric pain syndrome. Mirtazapine is recommended for FD patients with weight loss.
