This study evaluates ten cybersecurityCybersecurity measures—Data Encryption, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Third-Party Risk ManagementRisk management, Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Backup and Recovery Plans, Anti-Ransomware Solutions, Zero Trust Architecture, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Industrial Control System (ICS) Security Tools—against various cyber-threats in Airbus’s industrial value chainIndustrial value chain. Using theMulti-Criteria Decision-Making–Analytic Hierarchy Process (MCDM–AHP) Multi-Criteria Decision-Making–Analytic Hierarchy Process (MCDM–AHP), the strategies are prioritized based on technical, economic, and societal criteria. RBAC, Data Encryption, and Secure SDLC emerge as top performers, while Backup and Recovery Plans and Anti-Ransomware Solutions reveal areas for improvement. The findings extend to other sectors, such as agriculture (Frayssinet)Frayssinet, automotive (Renault)Renault, and pharmaceuticals (Sanofi), with a focus on sector-specific cybersecurity challenges. The study also explores the role of digital twinsDigital twins in enhancing cybersecurityCybersecurity. These results provide actionable insights for decision-makers, balancing security, operational, and financial considerations, while offering directions for future research.
