Since African metaphysics is characterized by force, the fact that change and becoming, with the understanding that reality is a web of interconnected events, has already exposed its nature as encompassing becoming or event as well. Just as the previous chapter has shown how the history of African metaphysics has wrestled with the absolute and universal yet inadequate classical logic, the same is also true for process-relational philosophers. Processism is characterized by becoming and one of its foremost proponents, Alfred North Whitehead, has questioned whether classical logic is reliable for the comprehension and codification of novel ideas and thought systems. Whitehead levels three criticisms against traditional metaphysics before offering his system or version of processism - 'Philosophy of Organism.' Although he does not offer an alternative system of logic in spite of his critical stance against classical logic, the remaining part of this chapter not only shows how Ezumezu trivalent logic can assist with the mediation of thought, theory and method in processism but also uncovers how both African and process thought overcome the onto-theological warrant levelled against prominent metaphysical theories in the history of traditional metaphysics by Martin Heidegger.
