The aim of this chapter is to understand how classical logic has been found to be limited or inadequate, even when it has been elevated as the absolute and universal system of logic. In spite of the flaws that various scholars have raised against it, it seems those who endorse it continue to defend without exposing its limitations. In this chapter, I explore how developments in electromagnetism and quantum mechanics have called for the need to reconsider and seek an alternative system of logic that will be more robust to cater for the behaviours of particles at that level. The concluding part of this chapter shows that the three laws of thought are also not innocent as they too cannot stand rational support both at the micro and macro levels of interaction among entities. Given the connection between logic and language in the articulation of thoughts, the implication therefore is that an alternative system of logic is pertinent for the sake of understanding not only African metaphysics but for the sake of accommodating some of the latest developments in the physical sciences.
