Rationale and Techniques for Liver Hypertrophy in Hepatocellular Carcinoma
摘要
Hepatocellular carcinoma was found to be challenging when future liver remnant was found to be inadequate for resection. Underlying cirrhosis was found to be an important limiting factor when trying to induce liver hypertrophy with various methods. Conventional methods to induce future remnant hypertrophy are applicable but to a lesser extent than in normal liver. To achieve satisfactory resection rate and oncological outcomes, care should be taken in patient selection and operative techniques.
