Smart Mirror Helps Reduce Makeup Time with Magnified View
摘要
Numerous studies have been conducted on interface systems to support makeup processes. Some systems aim to make makeup application more enjoyable, while other systems aim to enhance makeup application by displaying a model. To reduce makeup time, it is important to minimize physical movements during makeup procedures. The time spent in makeup can be divided into two main categories: time within the makeup process and time spent switching between makeup processes. Although the time required for each of these processes is very short, the cumulative time becomes substantial due to the frequency of these actions, and this accumulates significantly when performed daily. In this paper, we present our makeup system that integrates smart mirror technology with information visualization techniques. The system uses a camera installed in front of the user as an input to determine where makeup is being applied using face and finger recognition, and magnifies the area around the makeup area. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through a simple user test using the system.
