Decentralized Identity Verification for Elections: Blockchain-Powered Voting with Face and Fingerprint Security
摘要
This paper explores a decentralized voting system that uses blockchain along with facial and fingerprint recognition to verify voters. The goal is to make voting more secure and transparent. Blockchain helps keep votes unchangeable, and smart contracts take care of checking and counting votes automatically. We tested a prototype with 200 people and got 97.8% accuracy in biometric checks. There were no cases of fake or repeated votes. Compared to older systems, the time to process results dropped by around 35%. The system also held up well against digital threats. Overall, it shows promise as a practical and trustworthy method for secure digital voting.
