The data can be viewed using IoT Thingspeak cloud technology. This sensor can save water use as well as an alternative to industrial capacitive humidity sensors on the market. The sensor is a dielectric sensor that works by measuring the charge storage capacity in the soil. The sensor uses an ESP8266 microcontroller and a ZSSC3123 chip to take measurements with the I2C protocol. Experiments on measuring soil moisture is carried out in real time with a sampling time every 1 min.
