The text presents a synthesis of an overview and a case study. The objective is to introduce the axiological approach as an ethical method applicable to assessing and evaluating the ethics of sustainable development. Furthermore, it seeks to demonstrate this approach in the form of a case study, which assesses the security and regional threats and risks associated with regionally exercised power and Russian imperial ambitions and power. In order to achieve the objective, the method of applying axiological metrics was selected as the most appropriate means of producing a final coherent output in the form of a case study. This study presents the following findings: the essence and core of the Russian threat in relation to aggression in Ukraine, as well as in relation to its own regions, lies in the latent, historically demonstrable aggression of ethnic Russians and the majority Russian population. This objectively identifiable aggression has long been reflected in the mentality of the ruling elites in relation to regional action, as well as in the conventional military-political behavior of the Russian state. This latent aggression is subsequently integrated into the value priorities of the Russian population. The study concludes that the aforementioned characteristics of the Russian value system have a profound impact on contemporary Russian society, with significant fatal consequences for Russia's future. These consequences will have direct implications for the sustainability and regional stability of Russian society, as well as for overall global security.

摘要
